Dermatology

Dermatologists are physicians who have expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of pediatric and adult patients, and with benign and malignant disorders of the skin, mouth, hair and nails. The Section of Dermatology, Department of Medicine, provides diagnostic and therapeutic care for a variety of conditions. Among these conditions are skin cancer, for which a screening program for pre-cancerous and cancerous skin lesions is also available; acne, eczema, psoriasis, for which photo-therapy is routinely performed; and allergic-contact dermatitis and work-related conditions, for which patch testing is offered. In addition, advanced cosmetic procedures, such as laser therapy for facial aging, reduction of stretch marks, and tattoo removal, are available.
